National Assisted Living Week is a special time when assisted living communities come alive with celebrations that bring residents together. It’s a chance to share stories, make memories, and enjoy events that show the strong bond among residents, caregivers, and families. This year, the theme is Season of Reflection. This week is important to our community because it is a time, we can show our appreciation for all the hard work the wellness team does. We can theme the days and spend a little time enjoying the residents and having fun with them.
At The Fremont Senior Living, we are honoring residents’ lives and experiences by having a different theme day every day, where we can celebrate a specific era and let the residents and staff participate with foods and fun. As the Resident Services Director, I am most excited about seeing how much fun the residents will have. I love to see the staff be able to relax and have fun with the residents. I love the way our residents love our staff and enjoy spending time with them.
Taking the time to celebrate National Assisted Living Week is important. To me, Seasons of Reflection means we can take time to reflect on the present, on the good, and on the things, we might need to change or do better.
It’s not only a time to celebrate, but also an opportunity to appreciate the staff and volunteers who make assisted living communities what they are today! This week highlights the power of connections, memories, and the spirit of togetherness that makes every resident feel at home.
