The Fremont Senior Living Shares a Note of Gratitude

What a pleasure it has been getting to work for and with the entire Fremont Senior Living Community. The residents welcomed me with open arms. I have been excited to see the community grow over the past six months. The staff work well as a team. This community had a lot of agency workers when I arrived, and I am happy to announce that we are agency free and our new team members have been a welcome addition who care about our residents.

We have had a great time celebrating multiple events. A few of my favorites have been the “Great Place to Work” Live Carnival. Watching the residents and their families, as well as our staff and their children, join in the fun and games was amazing. We loved the Fall Festival in October. The food was wonderful, and the entertainment was great. The residents had a great time. Most recently, the residents enjoyed our Halloween events. I think some of them may have enjoyed sampling the candy as much as handing it out. It was a great night with beautiful fall weather. We are looking forward to our upcoming events as we wrap up our year.

The Fremont Team works very well together. We had such a good time honoring each department during our Assisted Living Week this year. It was fun to see each department plan the theme of the day and all the staff dress up in support of the theme. At The Fremont what really matters is that we are all willing to help one another out, regardless of title or department. It is a pleasure to work side-by-side with this team of talented and caring individuals.

We are very grateful for our Nurse Practitioner Jana Scott from Dr. Dahlberg’s office. She is very responsive, attentive and has an exceptional bedside manner. She truly respects and listens to the staff. We have great partnerships with our home health and hospice partners to include Terrace, Amedysis, St. Croix, Intrepid and Cox Therapy. This year we are excited to have an internal partnership with EmpowerMe. EmpowerMe has been very valuable to our independent living residents. Their therapy team is great and works well with all three communities.

As we look forward to 2023, our goal is keeping employee engagement and retention as top priority. We will continue to be a leader in senior living, especially for our Springfield neighborhoods.
